    Summer Orientation and Registration

    SOAR stands for Summer Orientation and Registration. New students are required to register for one of the SOAR sessions, if you have questions or need help registering contact your admission counselor or text (318) 386-3311.

    Students will have the opportunity to:

    • Meet their first-year advisor and register for classes
    • Meet new classmates, current students, faculty, and staff
    • Learn about the extracurricular, social, and leadership opportunities
    • Learn more about the Centenary in Paris program
    • Complete administrative tasks such as financial arrangements (including financial aid & payment plans), taking language placement exams, making arrangements for housing and health services, and receiving your Centenary ID

    Prior to SOAR:
    • Complete all new student checklist items - log into your portal to view/complete checklist
    • Request final high school transcript to be sent from your school directly to Centenary
    • Request final college transcripts and AP scores (once available) to receive Centenary course credit
    • Apply for your passport

    Bring to SOAR:
    • Bedding for twin XL bed
    • Comfortable cloths
    • Toiletries for overnight
    • Passport or proof of passport application
