    Freshman Application Requirements

    • Official transcript from your high school.
    • Essay on one of the below topics:
      • Write about your background, identity, interest, or talent that is so meaningful you believe your application would be incomplete without it.
      • Saint Augustine said, “The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.” How has traveling impacted your education or how do you hope it will in the future?
      • Why Centenary? What has made Centenary stand out to you amid your college search process.
    • SAT/ACT — We will consider scores listed on an official high school transcript or sent directly from the testing service using these school codes:
      ACT: 1576   SAT: 6082
    • It’s also strongly preferred you send:
    • International students (English as primary language): Required to provide an official ACT or SAT score.
    • International students (non-English primary language): Required to provide IELTS, TOEFL, or DuoLingo scores.

    Test-Optional Policy

    • If you choose not to submit your test scores, you will need to submit:
      • Letter of recommendation
      • Personal interview — contact your admission counselor to schedule this!
      • Resume (strongly preferred but not required)

      Note: Students must have a core high school GPA of 3.25 out of 4.0 to apply test-optional and be considered for admission. Test scores may be required for top merit award consideration.
